Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

If the vehicle is involved in a frontal or rear-end collision, the crash data may not be evaluated correctly by the vehicles airbag central sensor and this may lead to the passive restraint systems (front airbags and seat belt tensioners) not being activated.

The hazard

It is possible that the front seat occupants seat belt pre-tensioners, and the front drivers and passengers airbags may not deploy. If this was to occur it may lead to an increased risk of injury for vehicle occupants.

The remedy

Consumers should contact an authorised BMW motor vehicle service centre, or call the BMW Group Customer Interaction Centre on freecall 1800 813 299. Consumers can also contact BMW Group Australia via the BMW Group Australia webpage: www.bmw.com.au
