The defect

1. Water ingress past the 'O' ring seal possibly causing corrosion on electrical contacts and possible failure of the fuel pump.2. There is a possibility that if work is undertaken on the left brake calliper, the ABS sensor cable may not be refitted correctly. This may cause chafing of the cable and a possible loss of ABS function.3. In extreme riding situations, such as road safety training events where very harsh and rapid brake applications can be made, there is a possibility that the ABS function will be lost.
