The defect

A number of Alfa Romeo Giulietta vehicles with 2.0 multi-jet engines equipped with TCT transmission with chassis in the range from 7003090 to 7377518 are being recalled due to a potential non-conformity in the wiring layout.

The hazard

In some cases the wiring of the robotized transmission supply pump may contact the support bracket of the DPF, resulting in wear of the wiring over time and transmission malfunction, which could be hazardous.

The remedy

Alfa Romeo will notify owners who can take their vehicle to an Alfa Romeo dealership whereby the repair will be carried out free of charge.
