The defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the low-pressure fuel delivery line may not meet specifications. As a result, it may deteriorate allowing fuel to potentially leak resulting in loss of motive power whilst driving, and in the presence of an external ignition source may result in a vehicle fire.

The hazard

A loss of motive power and/or vehicle fire could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users or bystanders and/or damage to property.

The remedy

Note: (This recall supersedes REC-006165)Owners of affected vehicles should contact their local authorised LDV dealer to make an appointment to have the vehicle inspected and if necessary fuel line replaced, free of charge.
