The defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the engine air flow meter may miscommunicate with the Electronic Control Unit (ECU). As a result, it may cause the vehicle to enter limp mode leading to a loss of motive power whilst driving and/or STOP driving warning lamps may illuminate on the instrument cluster.
