The defect

Due to a software issue, when the vehicle starts the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) may fail to illuminate visual critical safety information upon start-up.

The hazard

A loss of critical safety warning information whilst driving, could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road user and bystanders.

The remedy

Owners will be contacted in writing requesting they contact an Authorised Ford Dealer to have their vehicle IPC software updated, free of charge.
