The defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the tailgate cylinder pivot pin may break. If this occurs, it can result in the tailgate door dropping to a vertical position.

The hazard

If the tailgate drops to a vertical position, it may increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to the operator or bystanders behind the vehicle.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles should contact Bucher Municipal immediately to schedule an appointment to have the work carried out, free of charge.
