The defect
Due to a software issue in the skid control unit ECU, a higher pedal force may be required increasing the braking distance under certain driving conditions.
The hazard
A reduction in braking performance could increase the risk of an accident resulting in injury or death to vehicle occupants, and/or other road users.
The remedy
