The defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the low-pressure fuel delivery line may not meet specifications. This could result in the vehicle encountering fuel evaporation outside the requirements of Emissions Standards Regulations.

The hazard

There is no safety hazard associated with this recall and the defect will not affect the performance of the vehicle.Vehicles are not compliant with Australian Design Rule 79/04 – Emissions Control for Light Vehicles.

The remedy

Owners will be contacted in writing requesting they contact an Authorised Ford Dealer to have their vehicle rectified, free of charge.For further information, contact any authorised Ford Dealer or Ford Customer Relationship Centre on 13 FORD (13 3673).
