The defect

The location of the rear side reflectors fitted to the affected trailers does not meet the requirements of Australian Design Rule 13/00 (ADR 13/00).

The hazard

Incorrectly located reflectors will reduce the visibility of the trailer to other road users. This will increase the risk of an accident resulting in serious injury or death.Trailers may not be complaint with ADR 13/00- Installation of Lighting and Light Signalling Devices on other than L-Group Vehicles

The remedy

Transtank will contact affected owners in writing, requesting they contact Transtank customer care on 1800 816 277 to make an appointment to have the reflectors installed, free of charge.
