The defect
Due to a manufacturing defect, some vehicles may have been manufactured without a reinforcing pin in the front windscreen. As a result, the windshield frame may move resulting in glass breakage.

A windshield frame moving or a possible glass breakage, increases the risk of injury to vehicle occupants.
The remedy
