The defect

Due to a manufacturing issue, the vehicle type approval labelling required to be displayed on the engine was not fixed to the vehicle.

In the absence of the necessary labelling, vehicles may not meet required standards in line with state and territories in Australia. This may impact a vehicle inspection or impact the sale of the vehicle. There are no safety hazards.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicle should contact their authorised Daimler Commercial Vehicle Dealership to make arrangements to have the work carried out as soon as possible, free of charge. Pre-arrangements are necessary.
