The defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the front axle brake line hose(s) may become dislodged from the end fitting crimp. This may cause a reduction in braking performance or an unintended park brake application.

A reduction in braking performance or unintended park brake application could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.

The remedy

Note: This recall is superseded by REC-005499.Owners/Operators who have had their vehicle inspected under the recall REC-005474 must once gain contact their preferred Dennis Eagle Dealer to have the parts ordered and arrange for the brake hoses to be replaced free of charge.
