The defect

Due to a manufacturing issue, the rear-view camera display, reverse lamps, and various driver assist features may not operate as intended. The driver will receive warning signals in the instrument cluster.

The hazard

If the rear-view camera display or reverse lamps are not operating as intended. This could increase the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.

The remedy

Ford will contact affected owners in writing, requesting that owners make an appointment at their preferred Ford authorised dealership for inspection and rectification free of charge.
