The defect
Due to a manufacturing issue, the volume of transmission oil in vehicles may be too high or too low.
The hazard
Incorrect levels of transmission oil could result in the vehicle stalling. If the oil level is too high, oil may leak and cause a fire. These hazards increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.
