Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

The roof hatch fitted for additional ventilation may not meet the Gas installation standard that requires caravans are fitted with a roof hatch with permanent ventilation. The roof hatches that are installed in affected units do not have a permanent ventilation feature.

The hazard

If the roof hatch permanently closed in the event of an LPG gas leak, gas may accumulate within the caravan and may present a risk of poisoning or a fire, which could cause serious illness, injury or death.

The remedy

Owners of affected caravans can contact their Zone RV’s approved repair agents to arrange an appointment to replace the roof hatch with a skylight, free of charge.
