The defect
A possibility exists that the fuel tank check valve may have been improperly installed and may become dislodged from its location. In the event that the check valve is dislodged and the internal pressure in the fuel tank is high, reverse fuel flow may occur.

All owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by letter on or about 14 March 2003. The recall will commence in March. For further information contact your Toyota Dealer.
