Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

Some of these trailers may be equipped with Carlisle's Hydrastar or Hydrastar XL brake actuators, which are subject to wear at a higher than normal rate. As the component wears, the load on the electric motor increases until either the fuse that protects the motor fails or the motor itself fails.

The hazard

A loss of trailer braking may occur, increasing the risk of a crash.

The remedy

Check the serial number on the brake actuator on the trailer to see if the actuator fits within the range of actuators recalled by Carlisle Brake and Friction Company. The actuator's serial number is located on the end of the actuator unit. If your Magic Tilt trailer does have one of the recalled actuators, contact Magic Tilt to arrange for a replacement of the actuator.Traders who sold this productBlue Water Yacht Sales; Boat Trailers Express; Chapparral Boats; Devries International; Jamar Consolidated PTY LTD; Jetski Warehouse; Louis Marine, LTD.; New Boats Direct; North Florida Yacht Sales, Inc.; Platinum West; Resource Development & Mgmt.
