The defect

The rod connecting the clutch master cylinder and the clutch pedal may break.

The hazard

If the deviation occurs, it will not be possible for the driver to disengage the clutch. In a worst case scenario, this may occur suddenly and without any warning to the driver.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by letter.Owners are advised to contact their authorised Volvo dealer to have the clutch master cylinder replaced.
