The defect
In select vehicles, there is a build issue with the steering column. As a result, the steering column cartridge screw is not to specification.

The hazard
If the screw disengages from the column cartridge thread, the actions of the steering column cannot be predicted. This may result in serious injury or death to the vehicle occupants.
The remedy
