The defect

The software for the motor generator control ECU and the hybrid control ECU could result in higher thermal stress in some transistors, potentially causing them to be damaged.

The hazard

The hybrid control ECU may shut down, resulting in the vehicle stopping whilst being driven, increasing the risk of an accident and injury or death of vehicle occupants and other road users.

The remedy

Owners will be contacted by mail to present their vehicle to a Toyota dealer.
