The defect

The turbo cooling pump housing may crack, causing engine coolant to penetrate the electronics of the pump. This could lead to an internal short circuit and subsequent failure of the pump, which may result in smouldering.

The hazard

If the turbo cooling pump cracks, the pump electronics may smoulder, possibly causing an engine compartment fire or a vehicle fire.

The remedy

A letter is being sent to all affected consumers. Consumers should contact their authorised Rolls-Royce motor car dealer, or email customer.relationsuk@rolls-roycemotorcars.com
