The defect

On affected vehicles the dimensional non-conformity of the battery earth cable may lead in the long-term to its breakage.

The hazard

Loss of electrical connection may lead to the engine cutting out.

The remedy

A letter is being sent to all customers advising them to bring their vehicles into dealerships for inspection and the dealers will replace the cable as a preventative measure.
