The defect

In affected models, there may not be a proper seal between the fuel pipes for the fuel injectors and the fuel hose that connects them. Pressurised fuel can begin leaking at the point where the hose connects to the fuel pipe.

The hazard

Fuel leaking may result in a fire hazard.

The remedy

Yamaha has written to all affected owners. Consumers should contact their local Yamaha dealer to set up an appointment and have the motorcycle remedied free of charge.
