The defect

When the handlebars are turned from left to right the headlight lead wire may become stretched due to the insufficient length of the headlight lead wire. With repetition, the headlight coupler may become disconnected or the headlight lead wire may break near the coupler causing the headlight to turn off while riding.

The hazard

If the defect occurs, and the headlight is inadvertently turned off this may pose a hazard to the rider and/or other road users.

The remedy

A letter will be sent to affected owners
