The defect

There is a possibility that the sealing performance of the fuel pressure sensor to the delivery pipe could degrade over time due to improper tightening the fuel pressure sensor.

The hazard

If this occurs fuel could leak past the gasket and in the presence of an ignition source, this could increase the risk of a vehicle fire.

The remedy

Owners of the involved vehicles will be notified by mail to their last known address. Lexus dealers will install a new fuel pressure sensor gasket and tighten the fuel pressure sensor to the correct torque.
