The defect

There is a possibility that due to insufficient strength of the gear shift rear shaft, some vehicles may have a problem with the gear shift shaft under certain conditions.

The hazard

The gear shift shaft may fail and gear shift operation will become impossible.

The remedy

Customers will be contacted by direct mail. The vehicle should be taken to an authorised Suzuki dealer for inspection and to have the countermeasure parts fitted. Consumers can contact an authorised Suzuki dealer on 1300 967 392.
