The defect

The rear brake hose may become damaged over time, due to relative movement between the hose and holding clip.

If left unrepaired, brake fluid may leak resulting in a loss of braking efficiency. This may cause injury or death of vehicle occupants, other road users or cause property damage.

The remedy
