The defect

The engine may not restart after being switched off.

The hazard

If the engine fails to restart, the vehicle will not be able to be moved. This may pose a hazard to the vehicle occupants and other road users.

The remedy

Mazda Australia will contact all affected consumers. Consumers will be advised to present their vehicle to their preferred Mazda Dealer for a revised PCM calibration to be installed at no charge.Consumers who require further information should contact Mazda Customer Support on 1800 034 411 or visit https://www.mazda.com.au/recalls/
