Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

Due to the piping design, which was changed from 2008 model onwards, the rear brake reservoir hose is able to repeatedly contact the speed sensor guide and a sharp edge on the rear swingarm during normal suspension operation. This can cause the hose to become damaged and, if left unattended, finally penetrate the outer casing of the hose, allowing fluid to leak.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by mail.Owners are advised to present their machine at their nearest Honda dealer for modification. The Dealer will carry out the fitting of a new rear brake reservoir hose, at no charge to the owner.
