The defect

During service, some CG Captiva vehicles may have been fitted with a Fuel Pump Flow Control Module that is potentially susceptible to internal contamination, which may lead to an electrical short.

The hazard

If the defect occurs, the vehicle may display a 'check engine' light on the instrument cluster. This may be accompanied by an engine stall, or a failure of the engine to start, posing a potential accident hazard to the vehicle occupants and other road users.

The remedy

Holden will write to all affected customers to notify them of the required action.
