The defect

The right hand drive shaft may separate due to overextension of the driveshaft in certain conditions.

The hazard

If the defect occurs this may result in loss of vehicle drive, posing a potential accident hazard to the vehicle occupants and other road users. Other functions such as steering, braking and airbag functions remain active.

The remedy

Holden will write to all affected customers to notify them of required action.
