The defect

The clutch interlock switch may contain a return spring that fatigues.

The hazard

A fatigued clutch interlock switch return spring could allow the driver to engage the engine starter motor without the clutch pedal being depressed. This could result in unintended vehicle movement and cause an accident without warning.

The remedy

FCA Australia will notify owners who can take their vehicle to a Chrysler Jeep Dodge (CJD) dealer whereby the vehicle will be repaired. For further information regarding the recall customer can call 1300 133 079.
