Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

The vehicle may illuminate both the low and high beam headlamp elements when the high beam mode is selected. The headlamps will then draw current in excess of the design specification for the headlamps and associated wiring.

The hazard

If the headlamps draw current in excess of their design specification, a vehicle fire may start in the wiring loom. Additionally, the excessive brightness of the headlights may cause a road hazard to on-coming traffic and result in an accident.

The remedy

Chrysler Jeep will notify vehicle owners who can take their vehicle to a Jeep dealership to have the fault repaired and the headlamp and wiring inspected for damage and replaced if required.
